Yesterday morning I decided to take Maddy and Kendal to the Hartland pool for the toddler splash n' play hour. It was yucky weather out so I was looking on the internet for something to do with the girls for the morning. At about 10, I found that there was a toddler open swim at the Hartland Aquatic Center from 10:30 - 11:30. So I called Marnie to see if Kendal wanted to come and then quickly loaded up our gear, picked up Kendal, and went to the pool. We got there just in time for it to start. I realized as soon as I got there that I remembered everything for the girls including their new life jackets, but forgot my swimsuit. Ugh! Oh well, that just meant I had to roll up my pajama paints and get a little wet. We had a blast. Kendal was a bit hesitant but she loosened up some after watching Maddy rolling around in the water and going down the slide. They both were so well behaved, thank goodness. I'm glad I remembered the life jackets though, otherwise they might have swallowed a bit of water. Maddy, especially, as she was laying in the water constantly. She did really well with the life jacket and figured out that she could float in it and roll over onto her knees to get up if she fell. She was a bit to0 confident sometimes though. Kendal was much easier to keep an eye on.

After swimming, we had lunch together at Subway. The girls again were great and ate really well. It was so much fun. Everyone kept asking me if the girls were twins...it was cute. So it was a great morning!
