Maddy, Mylee, and Mckynzee: June 23, 2008

Maddy's actual birthday fell on a Monday this year...thanks to leap year. Jason and I decided we wanted to spend the day with her and make her birthday extra special. So Jason took vacation and I had to go into work for just a few hours to run an experiment, which I did during her nap time so it worked out perfectly. The day was absolutely gorgeous so it was a nice day to be home with our little girl.

In the morning we got up early and headed over to Castaway Cafe to play on the indoor playground. Maddy always seems to enjoy it so we though we would do that in the morning with Jaelyn, Addisyn, and Brooke before John and Nicole had to leave with the girls at noon. All the kids had a ton of fun. Addisyn was especially loving it for her first time.

After naps, Jason and I took Maddy and Brooke for a bike ride around Howell. We stopped at four different parks for the girls to play. Maddy was really having a good time. Jason and I were loving every minute of it too, just being able to spend Maddy's birthday with her was really special. We said we need to try to do it every year for her until she is in school, because she is growing up way to fast to not take the time to spend special events with her.

After dinner, the neighbors came over for some birthday cake. I had a shrek and donkey cake made at Dairy Queen and it turned out super cute. Everyone stayed over and watched the Bachelorette while the kids played. It was a great evening to the perfect day!
