Leading up to the Fourth

Since my last post we've enjoyed a lot of the outdoors. Saturday night, Jason and I took Maddy for a 9 mile bike ride in Pinckney along the Lakeland State Trails. It was a lot of fun getting out and the Capt'n Frosty ice cream at the end of the ride made it worth it. Maddy slept most of the ride and woke up covered in dirt. Oops! Sunday we went out to Kensington Metro Park and hung out at the beach with the Schmidts before taking the girls on an 8 mile bike ride. We had a great time enjoying the beautiful summer weather.

Maddy slept most of that ride too. We had to wear helmets there though and Maddy and Kendal weren't too thrilled about that.

"I hate this thing!"

Monday and Tuesday our daycare was closed for the holiday so Maddy got to hang out with Grandma Nancy on Monday and then came with me to work on Tuesday. She had a lot of fun with Nancy, so much that she didn't want her to leave on Monday night. I think Maddy pretty much ruled the roost all day, but I guess thats okay since thats what grandparents are for.

Tuesday, Maddy had a great time meeting all my coworkers. She totally destroyed my office as she was having too much fun going through all my file cabinets. I was really surprised at how well she behaved. She didn't take a nap all day though until 4 when we got in the car to head home.

Once she woke up, Jason and I went out for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We went out to Johnny Carino's for italian. It was great but we way over ate. Maddy celebrated with us too.
