This past month we decided to convert Maddy's crib into a toddler bed. We have no news to explain why we decided to do this just thought she was ready for a change, plus she's getting a bit heavy to lift into the crib.
The first night Maddy rolled onto the floor twice. The first time I don't think it even woke her up when she fell. Jason got up for some reason and decided to check on her and he found her sleeping on the floor in the middle of her room. The second time was when she was getting up anyway so I think she was partly awake and it didn't scare her too much. Since that night she has only fallen out one other time. She really seems to like being able to get up in bed and then out of bed when she's ready. She usually meets us at the gate in her doorway by calling for us when she's ready. Its been about 3 weeks now so I would say the transition went a lot smoother than we had anticipated. We are so proud of Maddy sleeping in her big girl bed, but it is so sad to realize that she isn't a baby anymore. In fact now she has her own "baby" that she carries around everywhere she goes. You can see it in the pictures...she has to sleep with baby. That's not all, she has to sleep with baby, blanky, and "juice" (a sippy full of water). She's a rather needy one.

Maddy is such a big girl now! That's great that the transition was so easy for her (and you guys). Can't wait to see her in a few weeks (and of course you guys too!)
