Since it was pretty over cast all day we decided it would be a good day to do some shopping. Jason and I went to Hilo Hati, the most common souvenir shop while my mom and dad drove the Zoellers back to the resort. We found a pick an oyster seller and since a pearl is Maddy's birthstone we thought we would do it. It would be our present to her from Hawaii and then one day we would pay for her to pick out a setting. First I got to pick a coupon from a box. Our coupon was 70% off, so we were pretty excited. Then, I picked out an oyster and to our surprise it had twin pink pearls! :) So we got both pearls for the price of 70% off one. It was awesome!
Once my parents got back we headed up to Wailua Falls. We were planning on hiking down to the falls as we did on our honeymoon, but to our disappointment everything was fenced off. It is a very dangerous hike, since the hill is very steep and muddy but with ropes we were able to do it a few years ago. Apparently they have been having a lot of deaths, so they aren't allowing people to do it anymore. We were really disappointed because the falls are that much more beautiful from below.

We did see some chickens though with baby chicks and Maddy thought that was better anyway.

Maddy spent the evening admiring her new Hawaiian dress in the mirror.
