My lil' Mylee Jo is a Pisces. She literally made it by a day. A friend of ours gave her this onesie that says what her sign says about her. It sounds great to me, but we'll have to wait and see if she follows suit. I know nothing about astrology and horoscopes, but I thought I would post this anyway.

A Few More Easter Weekend Photos

Analise would either stare at me like this or cry whenever she looked at me all afternoon on Friday

By Saturday she was all smiles and thought Auntie was hilarious

"Roo-Roo, where are your clothes?"
This kid is a riot. She is always getting into something.
My sister is actually reading a birth order book to try to get
some guidance on parenting Lexi. I find it pretty funny as Lexi
is the third born and so is my sister so she should know exactly what to do.

Mylee Meets the Kriegl Family

First Photo with all 11 Grandkids
(John V, Jaelyn, Addisyn, Jack, Izzy, Analise, Brooke, Maddy, Lexi, Jordyn, and Mylee)

While we were up north for Easter weekend, Mylee got to meet the Kriegl family. My parents came down when Mylee was born but with everyone else in school and living so far away no one else was able to make the trip down. So this was a big trip for all of us, but especially for Mylee as everyone was waiting to welcome her into the family. The kids couldn't wait to meet the new member of the gang. I wanted to share a few cute pictures that I have of the meetings.

Hoppy Easter

My Girls on their first Easter together

We had a great Easter Sunday up north! I received a great Easter present from Mylee as she slept almost 6 hours her first stretch, so I was feeling pretty refreshed and ready for the day. Good thing because the day started early with the kids up early and ready to find their easter baskets. After everyone found their baskets and went through them we had to get the clan fed, bathed, and ready for church. It was kinda crazy but we all made it to church on time. Easter service was wonderful. Papa and Uncle Joe were part of a reinactment of the resurrection with Papa as Simon and Uncle Joe as Jesus. It was so moving and touching...there was a group of us in tears. I wish I had pictures. Maddy is still talking about the soldier being mean to Jesus and hitting him with their wipes and then Jesus dying. It is something we all won't forget. We got some family and cousin pictures after the service of everyone dressed up although the kids were not on their best behavior so they aren't the best.

After church, we headed back to my parents house for a pasty lunch before my sister and her family had to leave. Then we watched golf the rest of the afternoon and just relaxed. My brothers and their families came back over to hang with us after easter lunch with the in-laws so it was great to spend more time with all of them. It was a memorable Easter Sunday.

This is sure a cute Easter bunny, hey?

Easter Egg Hunt

The grandkids ready to go on the hunt

It wouldn't be easter weekend without an easter egg hunt. Of course, Grandma Simone had a great hunt planned out for all the 11 grandkids and Papa and Uncle Joe did a good job of hiding the eggs around the yard. My two girls didn't do so good unfortunately. We had to wake Maddy up from a 3 hour nap to participate and this made her crabby and klingy. We are such mean parents, hey...woke her up for an easter egg hunt. Mylee screamed for about 10 minutes until I broke down to go inside to feed her. Hence, I didn't get very many pictures...only a few of the kids. I was told that the kids had a blast and were great about helping each other out as each kid had a specific color and size egg to find. The weather was nice enough to be outside this year too so it was great. Its so much fun experiencing these holiday traditions again with the kids.

Painting Easter Eggs

Papa and Maddy

Good Friday afternoon once all the kids woke up from their naps they painted easter eggs with Papa. My dad just absolutely adores his grandchildren and is so good at being a kid himself when it comes to interacting with the kids. Grandma Simone is the planner so she had all the eggs and painting kits ready so they could dig right in. I think Papa helped the kids for over an hour drawing and painting their eggs. He took time for each one...it was adorable. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Mylee Enjoys a Bath...Finally

Easter weekend, Jason and I packed up the girls and headed up north on Thursday night. We decided to break the trip up into two days on the way up since it was our first trip with 2 kids and Mylee was still exclusively being nursed so we knew we would need to stop a lot to feed her. The trip went really well on Thursday night. We actually just stopped once for dinner for all of us. We got up to the bridge around 9 pm and the pool was still open so Jason and Maddy went swimming. Mylee and I went and watched them before it was time for us all to get up and ready for bed. It was pretty interesting staying in a hotel room with both kids. We were all a bit restless because we could hear every little noise Mylee made plus Jason and Maddy could hear when I was up feeding Mylee. It took us til midnight to get Mylee down in the first place so it was an interesting night but still worth it to break up the trip. Maddy didn't want to swim in the morning...she just wanted to go to papa's house so we got on the road after eating a wonderful continental breakfast and bathing. The big news about this part of the trip was that Mylee enjoyed her first bath...in the hotel sink. She loved it! Go figure!

The bad news was that when I woke up in the middle of the night to feed Mylee I could tell I was getting mastitis. By morning, I had a headache, body aches, and my boob was killing. Sorry for the detail, but it was. We had to stop at a gas station to get tylenol as I was pretty miserable. The four hour trip home went well with the girls but I wasn't feeling well. As soon as we got to my parents house I got a heating pad. I soaked in the bath that night and slept with a heating pad and by Saturday morning I was finally feeling better. Thank goodness.

Mylee's a Month Old Already

So...what has Mylee been up to this past month? She's been growing a ton...there is no doubt about that. I don't know where my little baby has gone. It's amazing how quickly they grow and change. She is almost out of size 1 diapers and 0-3 month onesies already. Other than growing she has been doing the typical baby things...eating, sleeping, peeing and pooping. She takes after Maddy in the pooping category...a lot of blow outs up her back, up the front, or out the side...makes for a lot of stain cleaning and laundry. She has had a bit of a cold now for almost two weeks with mucous in her nose or the back of her throat that we can't seem to get out. Her right eye has been green and crusty too, but I think it is a plugged tear duct. Her yucky fingernails have finally cleared up. She had a rough week or so a few back now where she wanted to cluster feed from 9 to midnight. It was pretty frustrating to say the least, but she is doing better now. She usually goes down to bed about 10 after some good fussing and then is up between 2/3 and then again at about 6. Sometimes she is wide-eyed and up for good for a few hours and other days she'll go back down for another few hours. She isn't on much of a routine yet during the day but has a few stretches were she is alert for a few hours. She is a bit high maintanence...wanting to be held a lot when she is awake. She prefers to be up over your shoulder...in fact, she prefers being on her stomach so we let her nap on us or on the floor during the day on her stomach.

We started her on the bottle at 4 weeks. She is taking a bottle a few times a day and then before bed just to start working that in there. She does pretty good although seems much gasier afterwards and spitting up a bit more. Other than that, we've seen a few smiles out of her but nothing regular at this point. We are having a lot of fun with the girls and managing to get some sleep, so there are no complaints here. I love my family!

Sisterly Love

When Jason and I found out we were pregnant again with Mylee I was sort of hoping we would have another girl so that Maddy could have a sister. I love having a sister although I didn't always feel that way and I'm sure Maddy and Mylee will feel that same way about each other. Maddy is truly in love with her little sister, but I'm sure that when Mylee steals her clothes she won't be feeling that way. So I've collected some pictures over the past month that during a time like that I can take out and show Maddy how much she loves her sister.

"Can someone help me...this girl is obsessed!"
