4th of July

This year for the 4th of July we celebrated by heading to Milford with a few couples from our neighborhood to watch the parade. It was a cooler morning, but perfect weather to watch a parade on the concrete. Maddy and Kendal had a great time collecting candy while Mylee and Hayden hung out with Marnie and I up on the hill. The girls were a bit shy about chasing after the candy and the dads didn't help them much, so when the ice cream truck came by with ice cream sandwiches Marnie and I got up and helped out. We weren't going to let them go by without getting some. It was a great parade and a nice way to start out the day.

After the parade, we went to a park to eat our packed lunches and play with the kids. We eventually headed home so the kids could take naps but unfortunately Maddy didn't think she needed one. We then had a nice bar-b-que over at the Schmidts and hung outside playing corn hole while the kids swam in the pool. The boys killed Marnie and I at corn hole so we had to show them up by kicking their butts in Euchre. We finished off a great day by having a campfire, lighting some sparklers, and watching some fireworks from around the area. It was a fun fourth!
