Maddy: The 3 Year Old

On June 23, 2009 our first born, sweet little two year old turned into a sassy, not so little three year old. Where did our baby go? Oh yeah, we now have a new baby named Mylee and a grown up daughter named Maddy.

This year on Maddy's birthday we spent the day together celebrating...all day long from sun up to sun down. Maddy's best friend Kendal spent the night Monday night for a birthday sleepover. We woke up Tuesday morning with the intention of taking the girls to the zoo, but it was way too hot. So instead we headed to Independence Lake for a day at the beach. We packed lunches, stopped at Speedway for slurpees, and enjoyed a day in the sun and water.

That evening we invited the neighbors over for pizza and ice cream cake. It was a special day spent together as a family and with friends.

Birthday Girl

So what is Maddy like these days??? Well, she is a typical little girl...loves princesses, dresses, the colors pink and purple, and long hair. She enjoys riding her bike around the block and swinging at the park. She is still trying to suck her thumb whenever she can. She is whiny all the time and drives me crazy most of the time, but she still makes me smile everyday. She is scared of everything right now. You can't leave the room without her crying on your tail. I'm sure not enjoying this stage and hope it ends soon. She is also going through the "WHY" phase...why this...why that. She is a handful, yet I wouldn't change her for the world. I love her to death and love the way she adores her sister. She is so much fun to play with and can melt your heart in a second if she wants to. I thoroughly enjoyed my time home with her on maternity leave. She got spoiled staying home every day but one with mommy and Mylee. We had a ton of fun being together. Miss Maddy - I sure love you and Happy 3rd Birthday!
