Mylee Jo turns 3 months

I say this every month and will probably continue to say it every month, but oh my gosh I can't believe it...Mylee is 3 months old already. She is such a sweet baby... so mild-tempered and happy. She has been changing a ton lately too. She is still growing fast and huge. I don't know how much she weighs but she's now in 6-12 month clothes but still fits in size 1 diapers, yeah. She's a great sleeper at night, but doesn't do much but cat nap during the day. During the month of June she was mostly sleeping through the night until about 6 am on most nights but still had her occasional bad night. Right after we returned home from the Spindlers she started sleeping through consistantly and sleeps most days from 9 pm to 8 am. She sure spoils us. I am still getting up to pump once a night, but have stretched myself to about 8 hours so I can get some good sleep. It's been working out great, especially now that I'm back to work because I don't get up at all on those nights. Thank you Mylee for being such a good sleeper!

Soon after Mylee turned 3 months (7/30/09)...the first day that I had to go back to work...Mylee started rolling over from back to tummy. She definitely prefers rolling over her right shoulder but can go both ways. She loves tummy time so now she hardly ever is on her back because as soon as you put her down she rolls over. She also started laughing right around that time. Jason said she laughed at him the previous weekend, my mom got her to laugh my first day back to work, and then I finally got her to laugh the next day. It's amazing to me...I spend 3 months home with her and she waits until I go back to work to do everything for someone else. I still think she's sweet however and treats her mama great. She finally decided to drink from a bottle right around this time too (although she definitely still prefers nursing), so that was a huge relief and perfect timing.

Mylee Rolls Over

Mylee loves to talk to us in the mornings. It is just so sweet. I can't but help smile the entire time she is cooing. Its really cute because she tries out a bunch of different pitches.

She has really started to figure out how to use her hands lately too. She can grab at toys (we think she is going to be a lefty, ha ha) now and is really starting to interact with the toys on her exersaucer. Like Maddy, she really likes to put weight on her chubby legs so she does well in the exersaucer. She spits up a ton though. We go through a couple burp rags a day from all the spit up. I think she's about to cut a tooth soon too. This past month she has been a drooling fool and loves to put her fists in her mouth. I think that's about it. She has changed a ton and is really a lot of fun. We sure love our Jo-jo!

Here is a 3 month side-by-side comparison of the girls. I think Mylee still looks a lot like her older sister Maddy yet she still has her own look. Her hair is definitely lighter, her cheeks and thighs are much chubbier, her ears stick out further, and her face is more square, but a lot of her other features are very similar (same big melon with a similar hair pattern, button nose, same long forehead and light eye brows, similar shape eyes, mouth, and chin, etc.). I can definitely see Mylee becoming her own look, but will probably always resemble Maddy enough that you will definitely know they are sisters.
